Names and Security

Names are replacing addresses as the fundamental unit of Internet identity. It means that just as we use names and the DNS to build global load sharing, content networks, etc., evil doers are harnessing the DNS for their own purposes. Name based reputation and filtering are the building blocks we need for the evolving security threat.
